Ardex Pandomo Reception Floor – Monster Energy HQ, Uxbridge

Installation Date: July 2025
Product: Ardex Pandomo Floor (K3)
Location: Uxbridge, Buckinghamshire
Total Area: Approx. 45m²
Main Contractor: Morgan Lovell
Client: Monster Energy

Project Overview
This project marked the second phase of a bespoke reception floor installation for Monster Energy at their West London headquarters, following the original Ardex Pandomo installation completed in 2019 within the neighbouring building.

Invited back to deliver an identical yet equally bold statement floor, the brief remained unapologetically ambitious: create a polished concrete-style reception surface that not only reflected the Monster Energy brand but became part of it.

Existing Condition & Initial Challenges
The existing reception floor was finished with porcelain tiles. Rather than removing the tiles entirely, they were mechanically ground back to create a strong mechanical key, allowing the new system to be installed efficiently while maintaining structural integrity.

An epoxy primer was applied to the prepared surface, followed by the installation of Ardex Pandomo FAM mesh, introduced to reduce the risk of reflective cracking and provide long-term stability to the finished floor.

This stage was critical in ensuring the floor could withstand both the installation process and the unique post-installation treatment planned for the space.

System Build-Up & Installation
Once the reinforced base had cured, the Ardex Pandomo Floor in K3 was applied across the reception area at an average thickness of 6–8mm. The material was carefully worked to achieve a smooth, monolithic finish before being allowed to cure fully.

Following curing, the floor was sanded, polished, and sealed, delivering a refined polished concrete aesthetic with depth, clarity, and durability suitable for a high-profile corporate environment.

The Statement Finish
After initial handover, Monster Energy took the floor in an entirely unique direction.

Professional sponsored motorcycle riders were invited into the reception area and collectively wheel-spun across the surface, intentionally marking the floor with black tyre tracks. This bold intervention transformed the polished surface into a one-of-a-kind statement piece, capturing the raw energy and personality of the brand the moment visitors enter the building.

Once the design had been completed, we returned to site to prepare the surface and apply a final protective sealer, permanently encapsulating the tyre marks and preserving the artwork as part of the floor itself.

Result & Finished Outcome
The finished reception floor is a striking fusion of craftsmanship and controlled chaos – a bespoke surface that could not be replicated and immediately communicates Monster Energy’s identity.

Both the client and main contractor were extremely pleased with the result, praising the technical execution, flexibility of approach, and the professionalism of the installation process from start to finish.

Conclusion
This project demonstrates how seamless resin and polished concrete-style flooring can go beyond function and aesthetics to become a true branding tool.

By combining technical precision with creative freedom, we delivered a reception floor that is not only durable and high-performing, but unforgettable — a permanent statement piece at the heart of Monster Energy’s headquarters.
